Our history

Farzana, a trusted distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables in Dubai, was founded on a profound mission: to enrich lives through the universal language of food, making it accessible to all. This heartfelt idea has grown into a global passion, serving communities around the world with dedication and authenticity.

1960

In the early days, the UAE's produce supply was limited, with goods arriving from Oman and Iran via boats without cold storage facilities. These goods were stored in rooms equipped with split air conditioning units. Delivery was also challenging; no resources, no logistics, no chillers, and no trustworthy fruits & vegetables importer in UAE. Roads were unpaved and narrow, and it would take trucks 24 hours to travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, with journeys often fraught with accidents.

1966

It all started with a small shop in the Sabkha area of Dubai. We needed a place to call our own. So, we opened the doors and started a journey into the world of food produce. With just 4 people, we sold fruits and vegetables to a handful number of clients.

1971

After a successful launch as fruits & vegetable food service suppliers in Dubai, we continued our journey to help restaurants and businesses so we expanded our operations to the MENA region.

1975

In line with our expansion strategy, we relocated moved our headquarters from the Sabkha District to the Shindagha District in Dubai.

1978

We have acquired our first cold storage (7000 M.T capacity) in Sharjah. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with cutting-edge refrigeration systems, making it more convenient than ever for our clients to import their produce.

1982

Moved our office to Hamriyh Market, as it provides excellent opportunities for fresh food traders and we are now closer to our customers.

1992

To meet the growing demands of our products and services, we have established a branch in Abu Dhabi that includes a specialized training department so our team can get the best quality control education. Along with our expansion in Egypt and China to ensure fast delivery of the imports.

1996

We acquired our second cold storage in Al Quoz with a 6000 MT capacity. The new facility is a vital part of our future plans for our fruit company in Dubai, as we aim to develop and operate fully integrated food logistics solutions.

2004

After establishing ourselves as renowned fresh fruits and veggies distributor in Dubai, we relocated our HQ to the fruit and vegetable market in Ras Al Khor which is now considered one of the biggest fresh food markets in the Middle East. We began selling a wide selection of vegetables, fruits, meat, and nuts for all tastes.

2008

Acquired an additional cold storage facility in Ras Al Khor, adding another 6000 MT to our cold storage capacity. With these additional cold storage premises, our fruit company in Dubai is committed to serving you better and delivering your orders faster and fresher than ever.

2010

Launched a Food Service Division that will bring to you a variety of wholesome, fresh, dry, and innovative meal solutions.

2013

Expanded our portfolio with a variety of frozen and dry food products. By offering a broad selection of imported fresh & frozen quality products, Farzana became one of the most preferred foodservice distributors among customers.

Today

Today, we are a multinational organization, operating in the UAE, Africa, and Asia, as well as some parts of Europe and North America. Our vision is to continue this global expansion, aiming to operate in every country worldwide.
